Formaldehyde can be found in almost all houses, in different concentrations. It is emitted by some types of objects like certain kinds of plywood and paneling, certain other furniture, some foam in place insulation.
This formaldehyde is emitted in the form of gas which can cause the eyes to be watery and can also produce burning sensation in eyes and throat. It can also lead to nausea and cause difficulty in breathing. Presence of formaldehyde can be detected by tests and necessary steps should be taken to prevent the health hazards.
The formaldehyde emission can be blocked by covering the particle board with two coats of polyurethane varnish or lacquer. Usage of soft interior and exterior plywood or wafer boards is preferable to avoid formaldehyde emission. Using solid wood furniture and avoiding veneer helps in staying away from formaldehyde discharge. Heat and humidity can increase the emission of formaldehyde; hence, air conditioners and dehumidifiers should be used. Good ventilation is recommended for proper circulation of fresh air.

Water beds were previously used only for heating but now, the waterbeds are also used in bedrooms. Similar to mattresses, they are made of water and are used as beds. These beds transform to the shape of the user and hence good sleep can be ensured.
There are of two types, soft sided water beds and hard sided water beds. Soft sided beds use water containing mattress in sturdy foam. In the hard sided water beds, the water containing mattress is placed on a wooden rectangular frame which is hard. Mostly the water bed rests on a plywood deck which rests on a hard platform. A wave action is generated in the water bed when the water mass is disturbed and hence is also known as free flow mattresses.
These hard sided water beds are the leading selection of people at present. These can be bought as whole beds or just the water bed parts individually. Water bed accessories are also available along with the hard sided waterbeds.

Elements used for making a sofa can differ from place to place. The top layer of the sofa is made soft with the use of padding to sit comfortably. This sofa padding can also vary and so does quality of every sofa. This padding has to be put all over the length of the sofa. These can be custom made and elaborate sofa padding can be used for such custom designed sofas.
The thickness of padding also depends on the design of the sofa and the material used for padding. Some of the most common materials used for padding are animal hair, foam and fiber fill wrap. These are used as per the design and necessity.

A commode is a low cabinet or a chest of drawers normally at the height of the dado rail. There are various types of commodes made and rococo style is one of the most popular ones among all. In the French rococo style, the commodes have a straight back. The twisting front and the sides meet at pointed corners and these junctions have a brass covering over them.
The design of the commode is very simple, yet special as the number and position of the drawers are hidden under the veneer and the ornamentation done in bronze. These coverings make it difficult to identify the edges and hence the drawers seem to be obscured.
